The Russian MSU Gemological Center was established in 1995 under Moscow State University’s Mineralogy and Crystallography division, within the Department of Geology. MSU was established in 1755 and is Russia’s highest ranking educational and science center. In 2005 ALROSA named one of its biggest diamonds the “250th Anniversary of Moscow University”.
