GemAdviser

In order to see the GemAdviser photorealistic models you need to do the following steps:

A. Installing GemAdviser

1. Download GemAdviser installation program from:

www.cutstudy.com

www.octonus.ru

2. Run installation program. It will guide through the installation process

3. Once the installation is complete run the GemAdviser from the Windows Start menu, usually: Start/Programs/OctoNus Software/GemAdviser. This will assosiate .gem files with GemAdviser software that allows you to open automatically .gem files downloaded with your web browser.

B. Viewing GemAdviser models

When you click on the link to GemAdviser model (for example, Scanned diamond) you will be presented with the confirmation question like this:

What do you want to do with this file?
- Open from its current location
- Save to disk

Choose "Open from current location" and click OK, then the GemAdviser software will be launched with the desired model.

If you do not want to answer this question every time then you may unselect the check "Always ask this questions when opening this file type".

In order to see Brill interactive models you need to do the following steps:

A. Installing Brill

First time you click on the Brill interactive link the Brill software will be downloaded (this can take a couple of minutes, please be patient), then you will be presented with confirmation dialog:

"Do you want to install and run "Diamond viewer control v 1.1....
... signed by OOO OctoNus?"

Press Yes.

B. Viewing GemAdviser models

Typically you should see the window divided into two columns, the left one contains a dinamic picture, the right one contains controls.
